Ride Along or Take a Jail Tour

Thinking about a career as a Police or Corrections Officer with the LVMPD? We’d love for you to see what the job is really like! Join us for a ride-along or a jail tour. This opportunity is an eye-opening (and surprisingly fun) way to experience a “day in the life” of our officers. 

How to Get Started for Police:

• Haven't applied yet? Stop by your local area command, and our LESTs at the front desk will get you started.
• Out-of-state applicants (already applied): Reach out directly to Recruiting. They’ll send you all the information and paperwork you need to begin the ride-along process.
• In the background process (already passed the written/fitness exams and assigned a Background Investigator): Contact Recruiting, and they’ll guide you through the next steps and provide the necessary paperwork.

How to Get Started for Corrections:

• If you've already applied for the Corrections Recruit position, reach out to Recruiting Corrections Officer Jason Kephart at J13603K@lvmpd.com to get started.
